  • 18:00 to the next day 5:30

Please switch off your mobile phones or put them in silence mode for the whole stay in Satori Valley.

If you need to talk to someone during the silent hours, please go out of the premises, go to the gate area, and talk to the person.

  • You are expected to come for all the meditation sittings (Zazen). Please see the daily schedule.
  • It is important to be on time for every Zazen (5 minutes before the hour).
  • If you are unable to attend a Zazen for any reason, please inform the zendo leader as soon as possible.
  • Do not bring your mobile phones or other gadgets into the zendo.
  • Please enter the meditation hall (zendo) with clean feet so as not to dirty the meditation mats, cushions, or the floor.

Weekly Guidelines

  • Sunday: All Zazen sessions are optional.
  • Thursday: All Zazen sessions are optional. You can visit the local weekly shandy.

General Reminders

  • Please respect others’ need for silence.
  • You are welcome to use the Zendo at any time for additional Zazen practice.
  • While doing so, please do not touch the light switches or move the mats.
  • Thank you for respecting “the silence time” and for “being on time.”

Samu/Seva is a selfless service. It is an integral part of our Zen practice.
